From Demos to Metalheadz – A 30-Year Journey
I can’t believe I’m writing this – but I just have to update my site after all these years: I’m releasing on METALHEADZ! 💀🔥
Yes, the dream label, the one that started it all for me back in the 90s when I bought my very first drum & bass vinyl. This is surreal.
It’s been a few years since I last wrote here, but a lot has happened on my musical journey. Time for a quick recap – especially from the last couple of years. A huge thank you also goes to Straight Up Breakbeat, with whom I released an LP in 2023 – the very release that marked my previous update here on Mineral.fi.
2023–2024 were a turning point.
I first had the chance to collaborate with Moakz through Omni Music, thanks to the never-ending support of Chris / Eschaton, who has believed in my sound and given me so many opportunities over the years. Omni has not only been a home for my atmospheric side, but also the place where I first connected with Moakz – something I’ll always be grateful for.
Later that same year, the collaboration continued on Moakz’s own label, Codename:RCRDS, which turned out to be another huge step forward. That partnership even led to my very first international DJ gig in the UK – an unforgettable milestone I had dreamed of for decades.
I owe a lot to both Omni Music and Codename:RCRDS. These labels, and the amazing people behind them, have played a massive role in shaping my journey. And the story doesn’t stop here: I’m excited to share that a full LP on Codename:RCRDS and a new EP on Omni Music are both lined up for release later in 2025.
In 2024, a dream came true when I signed an EP with DSCI4, the legendary label founded by Trace, one of my long-time heroes since the 90s. The release was followed by an unforgettable US mini-tour – playing the legendary Elements club in Boston (thank you all the crew!) and Technology in Philadelphia with Trace and the DSCI4 family. The energy, the support, the connection with the crowd – those moments were unforgettable, and it was truly special to play for those audiences.
And then… something even bigger happened.
With encouragement from my friend Resound, I sent demos to the one label I had always dreamed about: Metalheadz. To my absolute shock, Goldie, Ant TC1, and Diverge came back with the words I had always hoped to hear – they wanted to sign my tracks.
So here we are in 2025: my debut Kage No Michi EP will be released on Metalheadz on August 29th.
This truly is the culmination of nearly 30 years of passion, persistence, and belief in the music.
And yes – I’m so proud to wear my Metalheadz cap 🧢💀 (pic below).

And maybe one final note for anyone reading this – whether you’re making music or chasing a completely different dream: the journey is full of setbacks. I’ve sent out hundreds of demos with no replies, received countless rejections, and often felt like giving up. But I kept going. I kept practicing, refining my sound, and holding on to the vision in my head.
That persistence is what brought me here today. So whatever your path is – trust yourself, believe in your vision, and keep working hard at what feels right. If you do, one day, the impossible might just happen. ✨
Thanks for reading – and if you’ve been following my journey since the old days (or just now tuning in), I’m deeply grateful. The best is yet to come.
